In order to deposit files on the GlobeOp FTP server the first step is to set up encryption software on your end. While GlobeOp does not support encryption configuration for clients, we can suggest a couple of methods. There are a number of standard software packages available for download at http://www.pgpi.org.
If you are sending files to GlobeOp manually (and are using Windows or MacOs) then the latest version of PGP can be used. This software is available for purchase from the same site (http://www.pgpi.org). If your files are generated automatically, and you want to write scripts for delivery of the files to GlobeOp, we support standard PGP encryption and PGP with armor.
Once the software is installed you need to:
- Generate your public/private key pair (this should be a step of the installation process).
- Import GlobeOp's public key available from our website.
- After this stage, you will be ready to encrypt/decrypt files.
